🔧 Finding the Real Problem
The CPU power section is responsible for supplying carefully regulated power to the processor. When a MOSFET in this circuit fails or burns, it can create abnormal voltages and may also affect surrounding components and signal paths.
In this case, simply replacing the motherboard would have been an expensive solution. We carried out detailed board-level testing to identify the damaged components and the affected section of the circuit.
🛠️ Board-Level Repair
The damaged dual MOSFET and other affected core power components were carefully replaced. The surrounding circuit was also checked to make sure there were no remaining shorts, abnormal readings, or damaged components affecting the CPU power and signal lines.
After the repair, the motherboard was tested thoroughly under different operating conditions.
✅ Result
The CPU power section was successfully restored, and the Galaxy Book returned to normal operation.
This repair demonstrates why proper motherboard-level diagnosis is important. A burned component does not always mean that the entire motherboard needs to be replaced. With the right diagnostic equipment and board-level repair experience, specific faults can sometimes be identified and repaired while keeping the original motherboard.
